Who am I?

Hello! I’m Kaedin Kurtz, a passionate Mechanical and Robotics Engineering student at Boston University. My journey is fueled by a deep curiosity about how technology can enhance and integrate seamlessly into our everyday lives. I’m driven by the desire to create innovative solutions that not only push the boundaries of engineering but also resonate with people on a human level. My technical interest is largely in robotic perception and manipulation, but I am beginning to immerse myself in machine learning and AI, too. 

     Beyond the world of robotics and engineering, I’m an avid traveler. From an incredibly young age, adventure through Europe and Asia opened my eyes to diverse cultures, inspiring me to approach problems with a global perspective and a creative mindset. Traveling has taught me the importance of adaptability and the beauty of different viewpoints, both of which I bring into my engineering projects.

     Art is another cornerstone of who I am. Whether I’m singing, playing the guitar, or acting, I find immense joy in creative expression. These artistic pursuits enhance my ability to think outside the box and bring a unique flair to my technical work. Balancing the precision of engineering with the fluidity of art allows me to innovate in ways that are both technically sound and aesthetically pleasing.

Music and acting have honed my teamwork and communication skills, enabling me to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and convey complex ideas clearly. These experiences have also instilled in me a strong sense of discipline and perseverance, qualities that are essential in both creative and technical endeavors.

     At the heart of my pursuits is a commitment to making technology more accessible and relatable. I believe that the best innovations are those that not only solve problems but also enrich the human experience. Whether I’m developing advanced robotics, strumming a guitar, or exploring a new city, I strive to create connections and inspire others through my work and passions.
